I back up what I say perfectly well, Superfly. You wanna debate? Fire away, I'm hardly intimidated by wordiness. Methinks you assume too much.
Mooby, it's true that bin Laden was trained, funded, etc. by the U.S. But if he wasn't too good to accept American help then, why should anyone buy all this talk about "United States oppression" now? These people want to kill me, you, and anyone else who is not an Islamic fundamentalist. They are fanatics, and that is why they carried out the attacks.
And one more time, for anyone else who's interested in this conversation: Yes, I am COMPLETELY aware that the United States has a bad record. I wish my government had more of a propensity to mind its own business. In this situation, though, when thousands of American lives have been taken, we ARE tending to our own business.
(Mooby, I hope we do have some common ground...I know that all of us here must, right? I want peace as much as anyone.)
