Who is better, the Voidoids or the Sex Pistols? Hell claims that "Pretty Vacant" is a rip off of the song "Blank Generation". I don't see the connection, but I'm not Richard Hell or Johnny Rotten, so I couldn't say. But keep in mind, the rubbish Malcom M says about him "directing" what they wrote about is completely untrue. He wanted them to compete against the Bay City Rollers... My personal choice is the Sex Pistols because of their raw energy and icredibly undated sound, but I will admit that it was bit odd for a band whose guitarist ripped off Johnny Thunders to make a song about how crappy the New York scene was...
