Personally, i think that the heart punch should not be banned. So, was anyone else at the Dictators gig at the Bowery Ballroom last night?

I also want to recommend a drink at Manitoba's bar, since the measures of bourbon poured in the guise of an innocent double are, indeed, very generous...there are some great punk photographs on the walls, some familiar, some less familiar...

Also, i guess that it is relatively common to see 'Richard Hell' at gigs -or rather some reasonable facsimiles thereof- mostly late-seventies editions, but i saw something for which i was ill-prepared last night, and that was a Hell clone circa 2002-3...the same brown jacket, somewhat tortured brow, hairstyle...it was a pretty good version, although not tall enough, i thought...maybe this will be the new thing. Actually, there were two guys there who had come as Hell and Verlaine, but they seemed to get on ok.
