Okay, Richard's character is called Eric, and there is this fantastic scene that's just laughable (sorry, Richard) where they shoot him putting on a tie and kind of squatting and standing and preening in front of a mirror for possibly longer than is entirely necessary, so that it's pretty funny. And I can't remember just where he is when he delivers that "advice" line, but it's great the way everything with him exudes this kind of impossible awfulness, his little fawning puppydog stuff and his clear spite for Wren and the people around him; the [Sociopath] with the Heart of Gold, like in Go Now. Just vapid and intense and silly and worshipped. What a masterpiece of skin crawling, that film is. I find wren so inherently creepy, too, I hate her so much it's great. I like that whore, though, I'd let her in my house.
