James, I love that movie, havent seen it in years. Mercedes Mcambridge is so butch, even Joans eyebrows cant out do her. Even as a kid I wondered why Sterling Hayden would go for Joanie, who is all brows and shoulders. Did you ever see 'Woman on the Beach" that's another funny one with our Joan, hard to believe she was still making movies at that point as the femme fatale. The fifties were the best times for these campy flicks, so unintentionally hysterical, John Waters owes his career to these movies.
