Ah yeah the Thunders thing adds up, most of the class of 76 over here were fans to some degree.

Mick with comics: I used to live quite near him in Kensal Rise. There used to be a really great car boot sale up there on sunday mornings. I was up there one day and saw a big box of the 1950s war comic 'Battler Britton' (see what they did there with the title??). Just as I about to investigate further, a dapper figure swooped down and made the purchase. It was Mick bloody Jones. I've since read he's planning some sort of 'popular culture museum' for such items.
