I'm going to be really lazy and just post the following link to badass 3AM's announcement of the launch party that will take place in New York City this Saturday, June 27th to celebrate the publication of the new edition of Richard's 1973 "novelina" The Voidoid. Free to the public. Come see Hell give a brief reading. Then you can get your copy signed by both him and Kier (who will be here from Norway for the occasion):

Richard is also well represented in an art exhibit that's up at the Museum of Modern Art now, called Looking at Music, Side 2 (www.moma.org/visit/calendar/exhibitions/959). The show features "Blank Generation" among five or six songs chosen to represent the '70s in New York, as well as a number of Hell artifacts on display (including a lovely Polaroid of him with Anya Phillips). He's also one of the main voices on the audio guide to the show, and will be reading at the museum at 7:00 Friday, July 24th (Friday evenings are free admittance too): www.moma.org/visit/calendar/events/6832
Lastly, RH has a piece in the new Summer issue of New York Magazine. It's an article presenting seven writers (twelve in the web version) each separately describing a memorable summer romance. Hell's is on newsstands now, or can be read online at nymag.com/guides/summer/2009/57469/index3.html |
