Having heard an advance copy of the album, all I can say is, as great as Marc Ribot, Bill Frisell and Ivan Julian may be, they don't match the brilliance Robert Quine brought to the original sessions, and minimizing Quine's contribution to the songs is just short of criminal. If the new version accompanied a remastered release of the original mix, this wouldn't bother me much, but if this is the only DESTINY STREET we can get from now on, I'd say Richard Hell has done is own body of work a grave disservice.
