By conventional rock standards, the Sex Pistols sucked big time. Hell, most of the artists of the so-called 'punk'/alternative tradition are a joke next to traditional rock players.

However, i'll take Steve Jones' spirited guitar playing over Ritchie Blackmore's technical brilliance anytime of the day!

p.s. Blackmore is an amazing guitarist!(I dig Deep Purple). But he could have never come up with the playing of 'Anarchy In the U.K.' Of course, Steve Jones could never have come up with the playing of 'Highway Star'! Still, it is all good. ;-)
