OK. So, for anyone who has been interested in the ongoing fun*, amateur* and not-for-pay* Richard Hell cover versions project, there is a recording of Monkey (Dim Stars) on the left hand side of www.jamesreich.com for yr iPods as you deal with urban sprawl, insomnia, plagues of crows or what have you. With luck, the other songs that Forum friends have been recording will be up very soon. There are lots of things that are wrong with the idea of recording a few bedroom versions of Hell's songs...it's kind of rude to be doing it under his nose for a start! Don't be too mad Richard! None of us have heard the others' songs yet. The original plan was that Forum readers might get a kick out of listening to them, in some way, or hearing each other's bands... I didn't re-listen to the original version of the song before recording it, and this version is not as romantic as Hell's, of course, and not as fuzzy...
