testy

I get to feeling testy about these things, a seeming lack of reading fans. James and I are both pretty definitively writing fans first - not that it's not a whole package, though...
On the other hand, it's also easy for me to forget stuff I haven't looked at in a while and probably make a stupid error, as I talk a lot (though I REALLY try to fact check anything I'm writing formally. always.), no matter how much I like it, and I think that there are a few people on here who you may grouping in the 'listener' category who are actually also readers, but who have either forgotten something or are confusing things in distant memory.
But I personally hate being misread, misquoted, misunderstood, and I become defensive and unnecessarily testy over it. I hated even more being rather badly fictionalised, especially as a writer, and especially in a rather mass-market book. The one good thing about it remains that I hope to use it, in some way, hopefully reasonably soon, to help yank us out of poverty, but I still cringe at the fact of it. I dunno... I've just lost what was originally a crystalline piece of thought about aggravation and self expression, and am growing weary. But some day it will come back to me, just when I least expect it.
What's everyone having for dinner? |
