Censorship

Maybe that is so!
1953, according to wikipedia (that's right, I don't memorize the release dates of even decent literary releases)
As to censorship, the same thing goes on today (as in the book) which is that people really don't want to read, and aren't interested in anything "heavier" or more serious. So it seems we're heading for another Dark Age ... for where there is no desire for knowledge and consequently truth there is no protection against manipulation. You know nothing, therefore how can you distinguish a truth from a
fabrication?
In the past, even the lack of knowledge (due to repression) has lead to a lack of medical health, resulting in the loss of life through plagues etc.
Is this violating the political ban? If so, sorry (Richard and Roy). |
